Barcelona DLS Kit – 512×512 Dream League Soccer 2026/27

The Barcelona DLS kit consists of a 512×512 PNG image that is pasted into Dream League Soccer as a direct image URL, and this season’s kit is more difficult to get right than most. The three Barcelona 2026/27 shirts all use effects that require true resolution to make the shirt work: the six shade gradient on the home kit, the black-to-purple fade on the away kit and the zigzag split down the middle of the third kit. Those that are from a smaller file become a flat block of colour.

What size does the Barcelona DLS kit need to be?

512 x 512 pixels, PNG, less than 1MB.

A kit is the same size as a badge, but operates in a completely different manner. A logo is cut out into a circular shape. Kit is a flat template which the game is mapped to the player model, each area of the kit is the front, back and each sleeve. When those areas don’t match up with the layout of the design that Dream League Soccer has in mind, the design is out of place: sleeves are striped where they should be plain, or the sponsor is round the rib.

That’s why it’s possible for a thumbnail to look good and import poorly. You’re not viewing a shirt, you’re viewing the unwrapped version of a shirt.

Transparency is typically not a desired quality of a kit. The template should be coloured in.

How to import a kit in Dream League Soccer

Barcelona’s 2026/27 home kit

The Nike jersey for this season is based on the refurbished Spotify Camp Nou, with the façade panels of the refurbished stadium as the basis.

It’s a four-stripe design, not the narrow striping Barcelona have been sporting lately, and is a nod to the 2006/07 home kit. It’s unusual because of the depth of colour. Nike used six shades of red and blue, instead of one red and one blue: Deep Garnet, Noble Red and Cardinal Red on one side, Game Royal, Loyal Blue and Blue Void on the other. This creates a tonal gradient within the stripes, instead of flat blocks.

The cuffs feature Blackened Blue accents, the collar is semi-hexagonal and the Nike Swoosh and the Spotify sponsor are gold. Blackened blue shorts and socks.

If you’re dealing with a DLS file, then the gradient is the one to look at. It’s the six shades that blend into one another that are just the sort of detail that collapses at low resolution. If the home kit you’ve seen for Barcelona resembles four stripes in two colours, then it is either from last season or it is a cheap replica of this kit.

Barcelona’s 2026/27 away kit

The away shirt is the most discussed of the three, it is not a football design at all.

It will be released on 24 July 2026, and will form part of Barcelona’s two-season partnership with the Black Mamba brand, which will run from 2025-26 to 2026-27. The shirt is black-to-purple in color, with Field Purple as the main color, and features metallic gold and iridescent branding, similar to that of the Los Angeles Lakers. The shirt features an iridescent Mamba logo and the words “Leave the game better than you found it” are inside the collar.

It’s a testament to Kobe Bryant, and not a coincidence that it’s in colour.

The technical challenge is here. The full 512 pixels are required to get a smooth black-to-purple fade. It bands from a smaller file, with the fade showing steps instead of a smooth fade, and the iridescent gold trim on the fade becomes muddy. If the away kit appears to be two blocks of colour separated by a hard line between them, the source file was undersized.

Barcelona’s 2026/27 third kit

The third shirt, which will be on sale from 12 August 2026, is a conscious nod to the mid-1990s.

The 1996/97 Kappa away kit was used as the reference for Nike. The base is a light mint (Green Frost) and the half is a darker mint (Dusty Cactus) with a sharp vertical zig zag separating the two. A tonal geometric jacquard pattern is found on the front, sleeves and back.

The collar and sleeve cuffs are in Loyal Blue and Gym Red accents are on the Swoosh and along the shoulder and side seams. The Nike Swoosh is located on the right chest, with the complete colour Barcelona crest opposite, while the Spotify branding is centrally located in Loyal Blue.

This is a challenging one because of the zigzag. It is located on the shirt in the middle, and on a DLS template, it is the middle of the front panel. If the zigzag appears to be offset or broken on the player model, then the file was created for a different template than the current Dream League Soccer template.

Goalkeeper kit

This season Barcelona’s goal kit is bright green with a zig zag design of its own, which is similar to the third kit.

The goalkeeper is a separate slot in Dream League Soccer and it’s the most forgotten. The three custom outfield kits with a default keeper look unfinished, especially in the team menu where all four are grouped together. Do the same time as the others.

Why this set is harder than most

It’s worth putting out there, as it covers most of the issues people have.

Barcelona’s 2025/26 kits were quite basic for today’s standards. The are not for this season. All three rely on an effect that is lost with low resolution, a 6 shade tonal gradient on the home, a smooth colour fade on the away and a centre split on the third.

The bottom line is that this season, quality of the files is more important than it was last season. A 256 pixel file, renamed 512×512 will import without complaint and will obviously not look right on the pitch if it was just a striped shirt.

Before assuming that a Barcelona kit is bad, verify the source dimensions of the kit.

Common problems with Barcelona DLS kit URLs

The link is not an image file, but a webpage

Most common reason for an import failure. A working URL must have .png or .jpg at the end of the URL. Long press on the image and select Copy image address instead of Copy link address.

The template is incorrect

If the kit imports but the sleeves, collar or sponsor placement do not look correct on the player model, the kit was created for a different game or for an older template. The mapping is not fine, the image is. This is easily seen in the third kit, which has a centre zig zag.

This file is too small

This is more important for Barcelona this season than for most clubs as mentioned above.

The link is dead

Free image hosts delete files and switch on hotlink protection. This is particularly likely to happen with kit URLs shared in the first week after a launch, as many of these URLs are shared in a rush.

Matching the badge to the kit

A custom kit with a default badge on the chest somewhat diminishes the effect.

Place the logo at the same time, on the same menu path but with the option of Logo rather than Kit. Barcelona is a little different: The crest is a shield that tapers to a point at the bottom, and badges are cut out of a circle in Dream League Soccer. If a file is cut so that it is completely inside the shield, it will not earn that point. Use a version that has padding around it.

When creating a retro Barcelona side, go with the times. The 1996/97 inspiration is the 3rd kit and would go with a crest from that era and not the current one.
