A Portugal DLS kit is a 512×512 PNG that is loaded into Dream League Soccer by a direct image link and there is a very quick way to determine if the one you’ve found is current. Check the manufacturer’s logo. If it’s a Nike swoosh, then the file is out of date, as Portugal changed its supplier for the first time in almost three decades.

Portugal have switched to Puma.Portugal have been laced with Puma.
The one most important thing to know before downloading anything.
The Portuguese national team switched their kit to Puma after nearly 30 years of Nike. The switch applies to both the men’s and women’s side and will see every Portugal shirt from the end of 2025 onwards feature the Puma leaping cat, instead of the swoosh.
A significant proportion of the Portugal kit files in circulation are older than the change, so there is a high proportion of older files. Some sites haven’t updated their pages since 2024 and will continue to sell Nike shirts, even if the file quality is high, they will never match the current team.
The check is a second later. Swoosh means old. Current is indicated by leaping cat.
The 2026 home kit: waves and a compass
The home shirt, which will be released on 3 December 2025, is a continuation of Portugal’s maritime history in the colours of the nation.
It features a deep red base color (Puma’s Club Red) and accents of Green Lagoon on the V-neck collar and sleeve cuffs. A faint wave pattern is present throughout the body, reminiscent of the Atlantic and the nation’s rich maritime heritage. The Puma logo is on the right side of the chest in white while the full-colour Portuguese Football Federation crest is over the heart.
The detail that people often overlook is in the collar, where there is a compass, reinforcing the theme of navigation that is throughout the design.
The shirt is said to be a symbol of the strength of the ocean and the pride of millions of Portuguese fans, according to the federation’s chief marketing and commercial officer, João Medeiros Cardoso.
The wave graphic is the test for a kit file. It’s intentional tonal rather than a print. It will simply disappear if it is below 512 pixels. If there is no texture whatsoever on the body of your Portugal home kit, then the file is undersized.
Why the crest is in the middle of the 2026 away kit?
The away shirt was received on 20 March 2026 and was first used in friendly matches against Mexico and the USA.
It was constructed on a white base with aqua and teal waves in the design, and features a brushstroke style reminiscent of the ocean theme from the home shirt, which Puma has applied to the design. It’s surrounded by a white V-neck collar and dark teal mesh side panels and sleeve cuff trims. There is a stylised PORTUGAL sign-off on the inside of the back of the neck.
The theme Puma chose was “Connecting Heroes”, inspired by the ocean and the visual language of superhero suits, the V-shaped cuts through the chest and abdomen are derived from.
This shirt is unique because of its design. The Puma leaping cat is directly below the federation crest, which is not positioned over the heart, but rather in the centre of the chest in a deep maroon. The majority of football shirts divide those two marks left and right. This one places them in a symmetrical manner down the middle.
It’s important for Dream League Soccer. Centred branding is exactly in the centre of the front panel of the kit template, so if the file is misaligned, it will become obvious as soon as you see it as a crest that is off to one side or a logo that doesn’t line up under it. It’s a good method to determine if a file has been constructed properly.
The Eusébio tribute jersey
It is important to know about, but it’s not in the on-pitch set and most kit pages don’t mention it at all.
In addition to the match kits, Puma also created a separate all-black jersey featuring a tonal pattern created from the historic FPF crest from 1914-1966. That’s the time when Eusébio first donned the Portugal jersey and the design is an homage to the player who catapulted the national team to the world’s spotlight at the 1966 World Cup.
It was never used in a match, hence its appeal to collectors. There’s no such thing in Dream League Soccer, though, so if you’re looking for your Portugal team to wear an all-black heritage shirt, you’re in luck.
The goalkeeper kit
The goalkeeper’s kit was kept as simple as possible, with light sky blue and green, to help clearly differentiate from the red home kit and the white and aqua away kit on broadcast, which was Puma’s intention.
The goalkeeper is not included in the outfield three, but is stored in a separate slot in Dream League Soccer. All four are displayed on the team screen, so if the keeper is left as the default it will be apparent. Set it as you’re doing the rest.
Size and format
512×512 pixels, PNG, less than 1MB.
That is the case with smaller images, which are stretched onto the player model, and Portugal loses the wave detail on both shirts. Larger files typically don’t load at all. Badges are transparent, but kit files should not be transparent, the template should be solid colour in each region as the game is wrapping the image around a 3D model.
The kit can be imported from Portugal.
Copy the link to the kit (if there is a copy button, use it). The most common reason a paste does nothing is because you took the address out of your browser’s address bar, which results in getting the page, not the image.
In the game, go to My Club, Customise and then select Kit, not Logo. Select the slot to be replaced, hold down the URL field, paste and confirm. It has worked if you see “Image successfully downloaded”.
Slots are independent, so it takes 4 passes to complete a set. Download is displayed for older builds and Custom Kit is displayed for newer builds.
Where Portugal kit files go wrong
The logo is Nike. Covered above and the quickest check available.
The link is not an image. A working URL is one that has a .png or .jpg extension. If your doesn’t, then the game has nothing to download. Tap and hold the image and select Copy image address not Copy link address.
File is too small. The subtle by design wave graphics are essential to both 2026 shirts. They’re the first things that are gone.
The template is not matched. This is easy to see on the away shirt, as the centred crest and stacked logo will be easily visible if the shirt is not aligned properly.
The link has died. During the tournament build-up, free image hosts will delete the files and turn on hotlink protection, which often means that the urls stop working within months.
The badge to pair with your kit
Dream League Soccer maintains that your crest will not be attached to your kits, and will appear the same way, no matter which shirt you are wearing, so set it in the same session using the same menu, but selecting Logo.
The FPF crest is a shield, so it tapers at the bottom, and the game crops all of the badges into a circle. If a file is cropped too close to the image, the bottom point is lost. Choose one that has ample room all the way around the design and it comes along intact.
The historic crest from 1914 to 1966 is the matching badge to the black Eusébio shirt, and looks much better than the current one.
PART 3 — FAQ FOR RANK MATH
How big is a Portugal DLS kit?
512 x 512 pixels, PNG, less than 1 MB. Kit files should not be transparent, since the game doesn’t map them on a 2D player model, it maps them on a 3D player model.
Which brand of footwear do people in Portugal wear?
Puma. Portugal made the change after almost 30 years with Nike, prior to the 2026 World Cup cycle. Any kit with a swoosh on it is outdated for Portugal.
What will the Portugal 2026 home look like?
Deep Club Red with Green Lagoon accents on V-neck collar and cuffs, with a subtle wave graphic representing the Atlantic. A compass detail is inside the collar.
What was the reason for the crest being in the middle of the Portugal away shirt?
The 2026 away kit was a symmetrical design, featuring the federation crest in the middle of the chest and the leaping cat logo below it, instead of the standard split design.
Is there a black Portugal shirt?
Yes, but it was never used in a match. In homage to Eusébio, Puma created an all-black jersey with the historic FPF crest that was used from 1914 to 1966.
Why is my Portugal kit so dull red?
The wave graphic on the home shirt is subtle and tonal, and will not be visible in a small file size. Use a true 512×512 image.
What colour is the kit of the Portugal goalkeeper?
Light sky blue with green details, to stand out from the red home shirt and the white and aqua away kit.
